Yoga’s better when your dog’s your only critic right?!
Ok, there’s loads of yoga apps, books and you tube videos for yoga these days which is great! It’s more accessible than ever and you can do them when and where you like right? Not quite- really you know no matter how much the lovely lady in the vid tells you your doing great, or “what a beautiful tree pose!” She can’t really compliment you as she can’t seethat you’ve stopped because the doorbell rang, and you’ve now been stood chatting on the threshold for the past 5 minutes. Or they can’t really know that your warrior pose is strong and fierce, as your knee was ‘fiercely’ hurting like crazy so you came out of it!
Deep down you know that you could potentially be doing poses wrong and damaging yourself, you keep meaning to sign up to a class but the times are never good for you, or you simply don’t want to be amongst a group of people.
Here’s where 1-2-1 sessions can help you out and give you the flexibility you need, AND the quality practice you have always promised yourself! I’ll break it down….
SETTING:
They enable you to practice yoga in Private, calm and judgment free surroundings in a setting of your choice. They’re ideal for nervous beginners or seasoned yogis who would like guidance with their technique.
LOCATION:
I can teach you either in your own home or at an intimate private studio at The Re-Root Yoga Room in Woodfalls (From October 2019 onwards!)
FLEXIBILITY:
We can work your sessions into your schedule and ensure they are at a time and day that suits you, helping you to commit to your practice.
UNIQUE:
Following your FREE consultation. My sessions will be personally tailored towards your unique needs, and centred around what you would like to get out of the time we spend together on the mat. Your goals may be fitness driven-working to improve strength or flexibility. Or you may want to focus on reducing stress levels with breathing techniques and guided meditations. Or we can plan a balance of both-It’s your practice!
QUALITY:
You will receive in depth help and assistance with alignment tailored to you, we will end the class with optional massage. I will create a printed Plan just for you! This will help to support your home yoga practice.
We can arrange to meet for a consultation prior to beginning sessions to get to know one another. You can get in touch with me over the phone or by email.
At the consultation we can talk about any issues you may be encountering with your body, any aches and pains, old injuries, or areas of inflexibility you may like to concentrate on. From this I can create a plan for our sessions totally unique to your aims. The initial consultation is also a great opportunity to check that you are happy with me as a teacher, this is super important! I will go over my style of teaching with you so you know what to expect from our sessions.
Following your first session, I will provide you with a personalised, printed home practice plan, we can then discuss a review date for this plan, support visits if desired and arrange a follow up session to discuss potential progression.
